DESCRIPTION:Fashion\, Textiles\, and Silk Painting Lyon and Buxy (Burgundy)\, France\nJune 2nd – 12th\, 2025\nSilk Painting in Burgundy\nVintner Home in Buxy Burgundy\nThis year we are combining our days of exploring Lyon with days of textile and garment design and Silk Painting in Burgundy with textile artist Nadja Lancelot and Cochenille’s Susan Lazear. \nOur France retreat will begin in Lyon exploring its deep silk and textile heritage. We will have a variety of appointments and excursions. Of course\, we cannot help but enjoy the cuisine\, as Lyon is France’s leading culinary capital. We will then move to Burgundy to the vintner home of Nadja Lancelot who will teach you how to hand-paint on silk. We will provide some workshop time both in Lyon and Burgundy to aid you in your creative process with garment/pattern design. If you are new to design\, fear not\, Nadja and Susan will guide you along. Special highlights of our trip include a visit to Hermés to see how they print their scarves\, and dinner with a French Chef in his 18th century home. \nYou can download a Flyer with detailed information here.
