Quick Measuring and Point Identification

Garment Designer provides you with a great feature for measuring distances, lengths, etc.

Identifying Point to Point Measurements

When Point-to-Point Dimensions or Counts are displayed, you can use these to assist you in seeing where the measurement is taken on the garment.

  1. Prior to Measuring. (see illustration #1)

  2. Place your cursor over a number but do not click. The number will highlight and you will see a set of lines extend from each end of the measuring distance to mark where on the garment it is measuring between. (see illustration #2)

  3. Place your cursor over a number and click. The number becomes highlighted and once you click, the segment of the garment that is being measured is selected. (see illustration #3)

Identifying Cumulative Points

When you are displaying Cumulative Measurements, placing your cursor over a number will show you the point at which the measurement occurs. You do not want to click on this number unless you want to set it as the '0' point.

Note:

It is possible to have any combination of dimensions and counts as well as cumulative and point-to-point setting displayed simultaneously. The more you display, the busier the screen gets. Thus zooming to a larger screen display (using the Scale commands) becomes essential.
